St. James Episcopal Church of Greeneville, TN., is a place filled with delight in loving and serving Christ and all that He has made.

"We are a friendly, hospitable, historical parish (est. 1850) of the Diocese of East Tennessee of The Episcopal Church, USA. We are blessed to have a wonderful Bishop, The Right Reverend Charles G. vonRosenberg and his wife Annie. We welcome all to come and 'stay' with us. We are able to rejoice in the diversity of the Church. We feel free to disagree on the non-essentials and still love each other in our friendly debates. We regard the Incarnation and Resurrection of Jesus the Christ of God as essentials, but persons who do not yet believe are welcome to seek God's presence here with us. We are persuaded that God is in the NOW, that God is on the move, and that we are called to keep pace with God's agenda, not vice versa. NOW is St. James' moment in time to be used of God 'for such a time as this' to spread the Gospel to the nations and ' to feed and tend God's sheep'. Truly, 'This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it' as we go about the Father's business into the world helping to bring about the Kingdom of God. May we never forget that it was for all the world that Christ died (John 3:16). Thanks be to God. Delight for the Journey."
